Dermplaning is a skin treatment performed using a specialized surgical instrument and disposable blades designed specifically for Dermaplaning. Once the skin is properly prepped the technician holds the skin taut and gently scrapes the skin with a blade at a 45 degree angle. This removes both the vellus hair and the top layer of dead skin cells. Dermaplaning is recommended every 4 weeks - at each appointment about 2/3 weeks of dead skin cells are removed.
